Plum, Pear and Ginger Compote with Kefir

This easy compote combines gut-loving fruits with kefir, a fermented milk (much like the texture of runny yoghurt) for the perfect pre- and probiotic combination. Top tip: Check out the Polish section of the supermarket for kefir that is often much cheaper than other brands.

3 Plums, pitted and chopped | |
2 Small Pears, cored and chopped | |
1/2Teaspoon Ground ginger | |
50mls Water | |
Directions

Add all the ingredients into a saucepan, lid on, and place on a medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Mark as complete

After 15 minutes the fruit should be soft, but if not leave to cook for a further 5 minutes, adding additional water if needed.

Once the fruit is cooked, allow to cool before adding to a blender and blitzing until smooth.
