Apple Pie Oats

Ingredients

Adjust Servings
3/4cup oats
1 small apple, finely grated
1 1/2cups milk of your choice
1tsp ceylon cinnamon
1/2tsp mixed spice
1tbsp milled flaxseed
A couple Crushed pecan nuts or use sunflower seeds for nut free alternative
For the sautéed apples (optional)
1 apple, peeled and chopped into fine pieces
1tbsp butter or coconut oil
1/2tsp Ceylon cinnamon

Directions

Combine

Combine the oats, grated apple and milk in a pan and cook over low-medium heat for a couple of minutes.
Mark as complete

Cook

Stir in the flaxseed, mixed spice, cinnamon, crushed nuts and cook for 6-7 mins, stirring until thick and creamy (if the mixture seems too thick, add a splash more milk)
Mark as complete

Heat

While the oats are cooking, heat the butter (or coconut oil) in a pan over a low heat.
Mark as complete
4.

Add

Add the finely chopped apples and cinnamon.
Mark as complete
5.

Sauté

Sauté until soft and can be mashed with the pack of a spoon, about 5-7 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
